Advanced Newtonian Collimation Idea

For the discussion of posted tutorials so as not to break up the threads. Just start a thread here with the same name as the tutorial.

Why a tutorial discussion section? Well, if a person is posting a tutorial thread in segments, the tendency is for people to post questions in-between. This causes the tutorial to become convoluted.

So, if you post a tutorial, especially if you intend it to be several messages long (ie, in steps) please also post a thread here with" <name of tutorial> discussion" as the subject.

Yes thanks Dion, but now the Laser Collimater is showing a different position to the camera reticle in SharpCap. The L.C. is collimated as well so no problem there. I'm reluctant to believe the camera because the collimating grub screws on the focuser aren't long enough to get center whereas they are long enough with the laser collimater and I can get the red dot right in the middle of the reinforcment circle thats stuck on as per your instructions and the Cheshire agrees with the L.Collimater. lol
