C/2013 US10 Catalina 1st attempt

Postby dybaxter » Sat Feb 13, 2016 3:26 pm

What a beautiful clear night here in Ohio, Decided to try and get Catalina. Could not see it so trusted my Sirius mount. Used a Nikon D750 with 400 mm lens. This is only 4 stacked images. Need to work on my focus some. Still amazed at even capturing this image. Perhaps my Nikons lens was the issue, I had image stabilization turned on full mode. Think it was countering the mounts tracking. Will attempt with it turned off next time.

Images were taken on January 29th. Finally found time to process.
