As you are probably aware World Space Week 2013 starts on Friday 4th October through to Thursday 11th October.
Salford Astronomical Society is support this years World Space Week by holding 2 events the first of which is a free family open day on Saturday 5th October at the Salford Observatory. This event is scheduled to run from 2pm until 6pm, however if it is clear we may extend this into the evening to give people chance to look through some of our larger scopes. All being well this should be a great day. Full details of this event can be found on our website at
The second event is our free monthly lecture "Astronomy in Art" by Steve Warbis of Macclesfield AS this is to be held in Room 115 the Maxwell Building at The University of Salford. We hope to see you there!
