Tom I want to get it properly finished before I do a first light image, It is set up though, just to check things out ;)

The guiding graph on PHD is much better on the pier than on the tripod. The peaks on the graph are about 1/2 what they were and that's only with a quick polar alignment. I'm hoping that with a drift alignment, I can get it a bit better

Excellent first image. You must be really chuffed with that. I bet this thread is an inspiration to many. You've done a fantastic job there Pete

The pics good Pete, but not quite to the same standard as your build.

I'm trying to move on from building / refurbing stuff and that's the challenge for me. Been there done that, got the cap and T shirt and half a million hits on how to refurb a car ;) I am too old for those games now and want to focus on imaging  I know I have a lot to learn but hopefully this is just the start of my learning curve ;)

Fitted gym mat to the floor

Image

Also fitted some spare track to stick on the draught excluder

Image

This piece of laminate flooring provides the seal. Also note the shoot bolts, this will prevent the shed buckling in very high winds or if ever there’s a significant amount of snow on it

Image

Cut some foam to make some shelves for accessories

Image

I have also painted the inside of the shed with a 1:10 dilution of PVA glue. This is to help reduce dust off the timber and polystyrene

Thanks for looking

Pete

It's easily done in the dark. You can be adjusting a thumbscrew and all of a sudden it's "now where the hell did that go?"
