sky scout

anyone still using a Celestron skyscout as a push-to aid. I have been using the skyscout ver 3.2.16 with my 6" refractor and find it a great aid to find my way round the night sky. I have it on a camera stand 8 inchs above the scope and still get the magnet icon on but still seems to work well when it 8 inch above the scope, drop to 6 inches and error's starts to appear. it works better on my 3 1/2 refractor as I get no magnetic icon showing.
I have found it to be so helpful when looking over the polluted sky's above Edinburgh. it is never more than a 25mm out. so using a 30mm eyepiece you always find the target in view! I have found it to be the best thing I have bought over the last 40 years, spend more time looking through the scope and less time searching the sky!
