G'day from Downunder.

G'day.

I found my way to Astronomy shed after seeing Dion's Collimation Videos. I am a visual observer with my Skywatcher 12" Collapsable Truss Dob - was inspired on my journey into Amateur Astronomy 9 years ago by a 'Human Go-To' and so I am still learning Star Hopping! My Astronomy Group is the South East Queensland Astronomical Society (SEQAS). In my part of the world, the main Star party is Queensland Astrofest.

Have attached Google Photos link to my 2015 Astrofest Photo Album. If you click through the photo with Information icon selected, you will be able to read my comments. https://goo.gl/photos/6YXpiCupZstaZVfQ7 And yes, in 2015 I forgot to take my tent - but at least my stretcher was under a tarp!!

Also links to SEQAS https://www.seqas.org and Queensland Astrofest http://www.qldastrofest.org.au.

I don't do Astrophotography apart from little bit of A-Focal with my compact digital camera. I very much enjoy Astronomy Extension.

Tend to struggle a bit with the science of this hobby and technical equipment matters, but I like reading what people have to say and might occasionally have a post to add.

Cheers.
