Yep it's great however there is no such thing as one scope that will do everything. I would still try your lens and get a taste on arises tripod nd lots of shots. There's so many options and depends what your personal preference is or turns out to be. I still struggle and starting wide field is the best place to start in my view for everyone. I've got 4 scopes including an ed80 and am going to try out my stock cheap camera lens, I'm even trying my old eq3/2 mount with the lens but moving the motors and guiding system from my big mount.
