Hi Richard.
I have just found this thread while googling as i have just bought a 2nd hand ED80 and after trying the focuser it seemd to be scraping along the focus tube making a grinding noise which i could feel through my finger tips,which doesn't sound/feel good.
So would this have anything to do with the pressure plate or could it be summat else,before i try and fix it,not that i know what i am doing if the truth be known ;)
