Skywatcher 130PDS circumcision

This was the focusser of my SW130PDS which protruded into the light path

I have been wanting to cut off some of the focusser for some time, but have neither the skills or tools to do it, and was nervous of making a pigs ear of it. Recently I have got to know some called Roland member on another forum who has the same scope and has circumcised his own scope, and as he lives not too far from me kindly offered to come and do mine for me which he did last weekend.

I decided to cut off about half of the amount the focusser protruded.

This is the new defocussed star compared to the original:

and the new position of focus looking up the scope via the new dew shield I have made:

I only found a 15 minutes patch of clear sky to do this, so have not managed to test an actual image as yet.

Was telling Galileo about this and he thought I should post it up as some might be interested.
