Advanced Newtonian Collimation Idea

For the discussion of posted tutorials so as not to break up the threads. Just start a thread here with the same name as the tutorial.

TUTORIAL DISCUSSION

Why a tutorial discussion section? Well, if a person is posting a tutorial thread in segments, the tendency is for people to post questions in-between. This causes the tutorial to become convoluted.

So, if you post a tutorial, especially if you intend it to be several messages long (ie, in steps) please also post a thread here with" <name of tutorial> discussion" as the subject.

Thanks

Hi Dion,
I’ve followed the tutorial up to the point where you launched SharpCap. When I launch the program the Colour Space/ Compression choices are YUY2 (which is just a blank screen) or RGB24 (which gives me a view down the focuser) I notice that you are using MJPG? Any reason for your choice and is this option some sort of add on?

Should the focuser be all the way in or all the way out. I ask this because the image on your screen is bigger than what I see on mine. I'm using a Orion Centering Adapter in the standard Sky-Watcher holder.

Regards,
