what a simple yet damn good idea.....and i just bet you can start selling the focus rings now as well...you must have a few lying about :-?

i always throw em in the bin lol, will be keeping them now in case anyone wants one.

Pleased I kept one of mine for a change, my pier is now bolted down, so weather permitting I might have to invest the princely sum and see how we go tomorrow night :smile:

I put a web cam adapter for a logitek together like that.
I used a 35mm film cassete case (they are about 0.5mm to narrow for 1 1/4 focusers but appear to work OK).
I took the focus ring off, unscrewed the lens and then popped the focus ring back through the adapter to center it and hold it.
I think I kept the lens so I may have a polar scope cam too.

I don't know if it is sensitive enough as its been poor weather since.

Don't forget it has to have the 'internal' diameter to fit 'over' the polarscope.
