Telescope for a beginner

Need to know about how to work that new mount or scope? Got tips on how to make it easier?

Telescope for a beginner

Hi
I'm a semi retired professional photographer and want to ask the forum members out there if they could recommend a high quality starter telescope for us to start star gazing with ? Ive been looking at the Celestron range as they were recommended but sure there are other makes out there? I want to get my 11 year old son into star gazing and possibly at some point in the future looking at the photography side of things too. However, I have no idea of makes or models as I am a humble beginner in all of this. We aim to only spend around £150-£200 ? Is that enough for a good to high quality telescope?!

Thanks for any info in advance its much appreciated.
