Flip mirror and Newtonian

Need to know about how to work that new mount or scope? Got tips on how to make it easier?

Flip mirror and Newtonian

Postby nedstark » Mon Nov 13, 2017 1:34 pm

Well, despite the warnings that flip mirrors are problematic on Newts ( in my defence I was using a 50mm extension tube and the Focuser was almost fully out) I bought one. But still not enough in travel available even with the extension tube removed.

Does anyone have neat and clever solution to this apart from perhaps moving the primary mirror cell up the main tube a few centimetres?
