First light double stack....

With the double stack, is it as dark as people say it is?

It is definitely darker, as one would expect with a narrower bandpass, but that is outweighed by the extra detail that you perceive. Prominences are actually clearer. I really need to get a better view of the sun so I can swap back and forth. Imaging will certainly require a longer exposure, but the webcam would appear to offer us plenty of leeway for that. :)
I wouldnt know that there is a pst sm40 double stack on ebay auctions at the moment though

It's a pity we didn't live next to each other - we could use each other's gear and cut the cost! :))
