Mercury Transit 9 May 2016 - ball park Mag to try ?

Postby Brutie » Sun May 08, 2016 1:41 pm

Got myself some Baader solar filter film and I am modding my little 4" reflector and will try to see the action on Monday.

I also have enough Baader film to do my binos.

Can anyone suggest a range of magnifications to get set up for ?

My binos are 10X50, and I can use the scope for 52X or 150X or with some effort 20X

Any clues as to roughly a good mag to go for ?

I have to do some surgery on the scope to allow each individual (different EP sizes !!) so any quick tip would be most helpful.

Thanks !

Rgds, Brutie
