Finder guider phd settings

Postby craig a » Sat Aug 24, 2019 6:50 pm

I’ve decided to try a finder guider to cut some weight out the rig, I believe these can guide up to 1500mm and as my scope is 1000mm fl it should be able to guide it in theory! I was using an st80 and just used default phd settings and they worked just fine a used a very high dither and settle at 0.5, so what settings do people recommend with a finder guider? I just need something to start off with as a baseline, has anyone used a finder guider on a 1000mm scope?
