Hello everyone,
I am trying to dabble in Astrophotography widefield with my Canon EOS 100D.
I am struggling with the focus using my 67 yr old eyes :)
I have an iPAD Air2 with the lightning connection.
Is there any iPAD software I can use to control the Canon and also a cable to connect the iPAD to the Camera, it would need to be Lightning to USB mini-B
Thanks,

Hi Reggie,
I had a quick look and there are apps on the Appstore which allow an Ipad to control a Cannon DSLR over a wireless connection http://www.canon.co.uk/apps/canon-camera-connect/#Camera%20Connect%20can%20be%20used%20with%20most%20Wi-Fi%20equipped. But I don't think the EOS 100D has wireless. There is another app I found which works over a wired connection http://dslrcontroller.com/iOS/ but you need to jailbreak the ipad which is not a great idea unless you know what you are doing. Jailbreaking also means you cant apply the normal IOS updates without un-jailbreaking.

I suspect the easiest route to help you with focusing the camera would be to connect the USB to a laptop with the cannon apps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j22AQDnV7Ws or BYE/APT.
