Graininess in images

Postby jpdavies » Sat May 13, 2017 12:01 pm

Hello Group,
This may be a daft question, but if I use my ASI camera with any imaging software or its own included capture software, all the images display a graininess just as film(!) had if the film was considered to be fast. I have tried all manner of settings in exposure, gain, etc, but all images come out the same, very noisy looking. Stacking the best frames reduces this grain but processing can bring it back. If I use a webcam such as Philips SPC 900NC,there is minimal grain ! Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
J P Davies
