Jupiter rest red spot rotation

Postby jezrobinson » Thu Apr 13, 2017 5:05 pm

This was my first attempt to capture the 4 n half hours rotation of the GRS I got most of the way there with over 144 separate AVIs of 6gb each over 700GB of data to then AutoStakkert, registax and combine into a video. I love a challenge think I'll try again in a decade.
Taken on a C14, with 2 x Barlow with ASI 174mc from Rotherham light pollution hell.

Things I learnt were let the scope cool down prior to starting, get a bigger hard drive, and allocate a full day to process.
I had to re adjust focus 5 times over 4 hours I guess due to temperature changes.
