The wonderful Sinus Iridium is framed by the Jura Mountains. There, we can find the crater Bianchini and the Promotorium Laplace (2600 meters high) whose triangular shadow can be seen clearly in the picture.
Sinus Iridium, and the surrounding mountains, are considered one of the most beautiful landscapes of the moon.
