Moon - DSLR and ZWO ASI

Postby smerral » Mon Oct 29, 2018 11:27 am

Well it was very windy last night but I really wanted to do a comparison between the DSLR and the ZWO ASI120MM. Thinking about it this morning I'm not sure this is entirely fair as the ZWO is a mono cam. On the other hand I've seen some decent images of the planets taken with the DSLR. I need to experiment more in better conditions. The scope was the Celestron C8.

First, the Canon. The full disc is a combination of two stacked images at prime focus; the close up had a 2x barlow attached.

Next the ASI120MM at prime focus.
