Maxim, creating calibration files and how to use them

Postby swag72 » Sat Oct 13, 2012 1:14 pm

A PDF document for Maxim showing the following with screen grabs;

1) How to create a MASTER BIAS
3) How to produce calibrated light frames and create a fully combined calibrated light frame for further processing

You will need.

1) Light frames
2) Bias frames
3) Flat frames

Ensure that your lights, bias and flats are all in the same binning mode.

1) If your luminance is 1x1 ensure that you have bias and flats in 1x1.
2) If your RGB is in 2x2 ensure that your bias and flats are in 2x2. You can calibrate all your files in 2x2 and then resize to match your luminance at the end of the calibration and combining process.
3) You do not need seperate bias for each filter as long as the binning mode is the same.
