balances light pollution with expected clear nights and flight paths thrown in too.

this explains why Carole gets so many images when she goes to Kelling , probably the best part of the country.

My County is just missing on that snapshot. Very interesting tho.
They're replacing a lot of the streetlights on my neighborhood with those horrible leds lately. Seems they're everywhere these days. I actually find them quite dazzling when driving. Often have to use the sun visor, at night! Is awfully sad.

Also explains why I struggle at home and need to go to Astro camps.
