Telescope Question

Postby rwillits » Sun Jun 10, 2018 7:26 pm

I've been preparing a talk on "connecting your camera to your telescope". In the part about achromatic vs apochromatic refractors, it got me thinking. The purpose (in the articles) on refractors notes that it is important to have all the colours meet at the same point. This is the reason for achromatic and apochromatic refractors. If one is imaging in narrow band and all the colours, with the exception of one narrow band of a colour are filtered out, is there any need for an apochromatic or even a achromatic refractor ?
